Terms of Service
Last updated: April 7, 2026
Overview
Cork is a wine journal app operated by the operator of corkapp.io, based in Switzerland. By using Cork, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Your account
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Cork.
- One person per account. Accounts are not transferable.
What you can do
Cork gives you tools to track your cellar, log tastings, scan wine labels, and share with friends. You can use Cork for personal, non-commercial purposes on the free plan, or for professional use on a Pro plan.
Your content
You own everything you add to Cork: wines, tastings, notes, photos. We don't claim any rights to your content. We only use it to provide the service to you.
You can export or delete your data at any time.
AI scanning
Cork uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to extract information from wine label photos. The AI does its best, but results may not always be accurate. You should review and correct any scanned data. Label images are stored with your account and can be deleted at any time.
Paid plans
- Plus (2 CHF/month) and Pro (29 CHF/month) are billed monthly through Stripe.
- You can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if something went wrong.
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice.
Acceptable use
Don't use Cork to:
- Violate any laws or regulations.
- Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content.
- Attempt to access other users' data.
- Abuse the AI scanning system (e.g., non-wine images at scale).
- Resell or redistribute Cork's services.
Availability
We aim to keep Cork available and reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need downtime for maintenance or updates. We are not liable for any losses caused by temporary unavailability.
Limitation of liability
Cork is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Cork. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data, unless the violation is severe.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Switzerland.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through Cork. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
