About Cork

Why I built this

I'm Emil. I built this for me and my friends.

A few of us kept reaching for the same regions and grapes without really knowing why. I had tasting notes in three different apps, a spreadsheet nobody updated, and a group chat full of wine photos with no context. I wanted something that actually helped us see what we liked and why.

So I built Cork. You scan a label, log what you thought, and over time it starts to show you patterns: which regions you rate highest, which grapes keep surprising you, when to open something you've been holding onto. The kind of stuff that's hard to track in your head.

The part I didn't expect was how much better it got with friends. We use it for our wine group now. Everyone rates the same wine, you see where you agree and where you don't, and it's become half the fun of tasting together.

What Cork is

A wine journal that learns from your tastings. Cork scans labels, tracks your cellar, tells you when wines are ready to open, and builds a profile of your palate as you go.

No marketplace, no ads, no strangers rating your wines. I'm based in Switzerland and your data stays in the EU. Cork is free to use, with optional Plus and Pro plans if you want to go deeper.
