Climate
Continental climate in the north with hot summers and cold winters, transitioning to warm Mediterranean climate in the south. The fierce Mistral wind helps keep vineyards dry and healthy by preventing disease and concentrating flavors.
Terroir
Northern Rhône features steep granite and schist slopes that retain heat and provide excellent drainage, while Southern Rhône showcases clay-limestone soils covered with large river stones (galets) that store and reflect heat, creating ideal ripening conditions for late-maturing varieties.
