About

Calabria's flagship red, ruler of the Cirò hills since Greek settlers planted the Ionian coast almost three thousand years ago. Pale in the glass but firm on the palate, it pairs rose and sour-cherry perfume with grippy, sun-warmed tannins and real freshness, a southern red that behaves like a northern one. Old bush vines and growers like Librandi and 'A Vita have turned it into one of southern Italy's quiet fine-wine stories.
