Fine white grape adding acidity and elegance to both still wines and sparkling in Bairrada and Dão. Often blended but occasionally vinified alone, showing citrus freshness and mineral character on the best sites.

Standard wines best within 2-4 years. Sparkling base wines benefit from extended lees aging.
