Also known as Bual in English-market labels or Malvasia Fina in Douro
Warm climate
About
The richer of Madeira's noble grapes, labelled Bual on many English-market bottles and grown on the warm lower terraces around Câmara de Lobos. Medium-sweet, with baked apple, fig, and walnut depth balanced by the island's unshakable acidity. On the mainland the same variety is the Douro's Malvasia Fina.
