About
The ancient Mediterranean family of grapes behind Madeira's Malmsey, the sweetest and most luscious of the island's classic styles, drawing on Malvasia Candida and Malvasia de São Jorge. Toffee, raisin, and orange peel ride on bright acidity that keeps all that richness dancing. Across Italy and Iberia the name also covers aromatic dry whites and gentle blending grapes.
