Terroir & Classification

Soils

LimestoneMarl

The vineyards sit on Jurassic limestone bedrock from the Bathonian and Bajocian periods, rich in fossilized marine life including oysters and ammonites. The upper slopes feature thin topsoils over hard limestone, while mid-slope sites have deeper marl deposits that retain moisture and provide excellent drainage through natural fissures in the limestone substrate.
