Also known as Black Daphne in English or Thiniatiko in Kefalonia
Greece's great fortified red, centred on Patras and Kefalonia. Traditionally made for the church and the long after-dinner table. Aged for years (sometimes decades) in old oak barrels for a rancio, port-like profile.
Built for the very long cellar; great bottlings show their best at 15-50 years.
