Terroir & Character
Climate
Cool continental climate with significant diurnal temperature variation. Alpine influences bring cool nights and warm, sunny days, while the Ora wind from Lake Garda provides afternoon cooling. Long growing seasons allow grapes to ripen slowly while maintaining excellent acidity.
Terroir
Extremely varied soils ranging from limestone and dolomite in higher elevations to volcanic porphyry, clay, and alluvial deposits in valley floors. Steep, terraced vineyards on south-facing slopes maximize sun exposure, while dramatic elevation changes create distinct microclimates within short distances.
